T he Wyoming State Board of Surveying, Land Engineering is the state agency that regulates surveying in Wyoming . Adopted rules to govern surveyor licensing requirements for all licensed professionals who perform surveys or land engineering services within the state. These regulations are intended to protect public safety by ensuring that only qualified individuals practice their profession. In addition, these regulations provide a means for consumers to verify whether an individual performing professional work on their property is properly licensed. Surveyor Licensing Requirements: All persons practicing as registered engineers must be licensed under this chapter unless exempt from licensure pursuant to Wyo. All other professions regulated by the board require registration with the board prior to engaging in any activity requiring certification as a Professional Engineer. T he Wyoming Board of Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors regulates the practice of engineering and surveying in the state. The board's primary objective is to protect the public by ensuring that competent, qualified professionals are engaged in providing engineering or surveying services. The board has jurisdiction over all persons who engage in any phase of professional land surveyor work as defined herein; it also has authority to regulate such activities through its rules and regulations.
